– Landing and takeoff took about two and a half hours, during which eight Garud Commandos stood guard around the area for security.
– The runway at Wadi Sayyidina in Sudan was in a very bad condition. There was no one present for navigation, fuel management or lighting, which would help to land the plane at night.
– The reason for these people not being able to reach the port was due to the war.
– The officer explained that due to the war, these people were unable to reach the port from where Indian Navy warships were taking Indians to Jeddah.
